Fujiya & Miyagi are a trio out of Brighton. Their 2006 release, Transparent Things rose high on my end-of-year charts, while giving a nod to a Tostado hero, the Vlad man.
Their music is a little wonky and they often bite better known bands like Air and Underworld-- and a slew of other krautrockers-- but it's fun. Plus, they make the best videos on the block (ok, maaaybe tied with So-Me) since Peter Gabes.
Recently they teamed up with Bomb the Bass on a new track called Butterfingers. Enjoy the video and some F & M classics from years past.
