daytrotter is a nice little operation that runs out of rock island, illinois. every day they bring in an up and coming band to record a few songs in their studio, and the results are often very satisfying. the site also features some nice illustrations (all in a similar style to the one below), and usually a pretty well written summary/intro to the session.
neon indian recorded four songs with them recently - with live drummer and guitar player in tow, i would guess that this is a pretty good representation of what his live act sounds like.
