chanel no5 by jean pierre jeunet

le house of chanel commissioned director jean-pierre jeunet (amelie) to create the latest chanel no5 advertisement. the resulting 'ad' called "train de nuit" (the night train) can be more aptly described as a short film and stars jeunet's muse, audry tautou, as a young lady that falls in love with a handsome stranger on a sleeper train from nice to istanbul (with the help of chanel no5, of course).

in this wonderful behind-the-scenes interview, jean-pierre jeunet explains the artistic process behind his vision for "train de nuit"and touches on his obsession with missed encounters and lost loves, the reconstruction of the orient express train car, working with actress audrey tautou, and tasteful product placement. enjoy:
