Guerrilla Gardening

An emerging group of individuals who call themselves "Guerrilla Gardeners" are organizing clandestine gardening ops to improve the conditions of public green spaces. The group started in London and is part environmentalist, part political activist, and part garden-loving.

The gardening special covert ops typically take place in the middle of the night to avoid detection although they are supported by most local groups. Richard Reynolds, the so-called Guerrilla Gardening ringleader, aims to "make more out of the land...whether it's about creating food or beautifying it."
