for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of hearing them....
Vampire Weekend are a NY based rock group who describe their sound as "upper west side soweto" and cite western classical music and african popular music as their greatest influences...they're sound like a newer and more risk-taking version of The Strokes...but they have their own unique sound don't get me wrong. "cape cod kwassa kwassa" was listed #67 on Rolling Stone's 100 best songs of 2007. they're entire album is good. their song "oxford comma" discusses the lil' john and grammar.
the name of the bad comes from a movie called "Vampire Weekend" that one of the band members made his freshman year of college. they all met while studying at Columbia.
