here is some nerd-tastic footage of neil armstrong and buzz aldrin on apollo 11 launching to the moon in 1969. the footage, originally captured on 16mm film, was 8-minute film was recently converted to HD and represents only 30-seconds of realtime (500 fps). it gets really beautiful around 1:30 and 4:30.
