lord knows you've got to change

a fresh-faced santana playing "evil ways", a song written by clarence 'frogman' henry, at woodstock in 1969.  wait for carlos to rip it at the end there:

I've never been a Santana fan, but his distinctive style did make possible one of my all-time favorite song titles. Frank Zappa's "Variations on the Carlos Santana Secret Chord Progression" from the second volume of his insanely brilliant "Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar" trilogy is a latin-tinged freakout, and it more than lives up to its name.
The real fireworks start around 1:12.
