Viewing art for 40 minutes reduces stress as effectively as 5 hours of post-work decompression, according to a study measuring levels of the stress hormone cortisol among London office workers. A study of people in 30 countries found reading to be the best way to de-stress reducing stress levels by 68% after only six minutes. The most popular way to de-stress is listening to music, reducing stress by 61%. Having a cup of tea reduces stress by 54% and taking a walk reduces stress by 42%. Having sex came in 16th (giving you no reason to be a hussy) and consulting a psychologist placed last. Have a relaxing weekend.
