audobon's birds

in lieu of earth day, here are some beautiful prints of birds by John James Audubon. Audobon is best known for the extensive pictorial of catalogue of north american birds he produced called "Birds of America". the world-class ornithologist and painter traveled to the USA from France in 1820 to produce prints of over 700 north american bird species in their natural habitat from engraved copper plates. wouldn't it be nice to have some audobon wallpaper in your livingroom?:
