i'm very intrigued by this 2007 documentary called "walk into the sea" which reveals the story behind the mysterious 1966 disappearance of Danny Williams, Andy Warhol's lover and a promising filmmaker and Factory regular. After 20 of Williams' never-before-seen films from the Factory were uncovered featuring andy warhol, edie sedgwick, paul morrissey, brigid berlin, billy name, and the velvet underground, it became clear to director Esther Robinson that not all of the Factory's stories had been made into films. Robinson, who happened to be Danny Williams niece, set out to make (yet another) documentary abot the Factory, but this one seems worth a view. Where did williams disappear to in 1966, and why does he remain a virtually unknown member of the Factory? through unseen footage and interviews with survivng factory members "the film gets beyond the icons and quietly dismantles the Warhol myth-making machine, allowing a deeper examination of the human fragility on which Andy Warhol's empire was built." has anyone seen it? i'm adding it to my roommates netflix now...
