i just stumbled across these photographs that jean-paul goude (genius artist slash ex bf of grace jones) took of bjork for Mixte magazine last september. goude has always been hugely influenced by cubism and form, and this shoot references some of his older work. he writes:
"In the end, I had but one passion: to correct. To take what is there and reveal it, by exaggerating, changing, sublimating at the risk of verging on the ridiculous."
the second photo is my desktop background right now. look closely at whats going on in each photo: the complexities are simple, the subtleties intriguing.
