Pattie Boyd is the English mode/photographer/bombshell who was married to George Harrison and (afterward) Eric Clapton. She was the apple of every rock and roll star's eye in the 1970s. Mick Jagger and John Lennon both admitted to having big crushes on Pattie, and that they moved on to other women only after realizing they'd never be able to scoop her. Pattie inspired myriad love songs (Harrison's "Something", and "What is Life", Clapton's "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight".
During Harrison's period of self-exploration, eastern mysticism, hallucinogens, and chicks, Harrison had a several affairs. Peter Brown, the Beatles' assistant admits "George Harrison was the worst runaround of the bunch. He had lots of girlfriends - lots." Pattie finally left Harrison after he had an affair with Ringo Starr's wife, who he claimed to be in love with.
Enter Eric Clapton. Clapton and Harrison played music at Harrison's house in the 1960s. Clapton now admits he really came over to Harrison's to see Pattie. Clapton fell for both Pattie AND her 17-yr old sister, Paula. Clapton and Paula lived together briefly, but Paula left him after hearing the song "Layla" because it informed her of the fact that Clapton was using her as a substitute for her sister, Pattie.
Pattie divorced Clapton after he refused for years to seek treatment for his alcoholism and heroin addictions. She published an autobiography that debuted at the top of the NYTimes best seller's list in 2007 titled Wonderful Today: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me. She still photographs.

That last photo isn't Pattie - in the one of George sitting with his sitar he's with actress Rita Tushingham, not Pattie.
