Lykke Li is from Stockholm and was raised by her mother, a photographer, and her father, a musician. she spent her winters in Nepal and India, and lived in portugal for five years. stereogum calls her music a "mix of soul, electro and powdered-sugar pop."
this is a video by Lykke Li called "Little Bit" directed by Mattias Montero. saw it on NY Noise a few weeks ago. i can picture the director of the video telling the background dancers to just feel the music and emulate the sounds they hear. their dance moves remind me this goofy whale breaching dance my friend alli and i used to do to air's "run". the dancers seem in good spirits, like they're getting read for a date or something.
