Norman Parkinson (1913-1990) was one of the twentieth century's greatest photographers (and one of my all time favorite photographers as well). he photographed celebrities, artists, actors, and the British Royal Family for publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Queen, and Town and Country. his photographs depict "la bella vita" by blending rich landscapes with stunning subjects. parkinson's photographs always maintained a light, casual, and witty flair. he was one of the first photographers to capture the elite with a sort of unbuttoned panache that made you wish you too could be young, rich, and rebellious.
