coco momo london

another one of Lamb's favorite backdrops: Coco Momo Cafe Bar in Earlsfield

Cocomomo knows its clientele: young professionals who enjoy a few glasses of pinot on the way home from the office. Accordingly, the drinks menu focuses on mid-range wines and cocktails as much as beer, though Guinness, Leffe, Amstel and San Miguel are all available on tap. This is the second reinvention of this pub in the last few years – it used to be Dusk, and before that, the Rising Sun – and the minimalist decor of the current incarnation can come across as rather soulless. Food and fuel is the concept, so there’s a decent choice of gastropub-style food at breakfast and lunch. In the evenings, tables are crammed with drinkers inside and out, but it feels like a place in which to start an evening rather than finish it.
