since we're on the topic of time, take a look Jim Henson's short film called "Time Piece" that premiered at MoMA in 1965. the surrealist film provides a visual and aural commentary on the relentless passage of time. Henson employs montage and disjointed rhythms to manipulate the linear passage of time. the result is a film that transports the viewer to a dimension where time has no bearing. and my, does time look silly from this fourth dimension...
